Book and Toy Exchange - January 24, 2004
PARENTS FORUM's Eve Sullivan with a girl at January 24, 2004 Book and Toy exchange in Cambridge.

January 24, 2004 Book and Toy Exchange at the Central Square Branch of the Cambridge (Mass.) Public Library held to benefit Children of Incarcerated Parents.

Note that the little girl whose face is (thankfully!) obscured in this photo is _not a child of incarcerated parents. She came with her grandma and grampa, was happy to leave with a box of playdough, and very nicely said 'thank you' after some coaxing from her grandma. The girl was one of a dozen or so children who came with their parents over the two-hour event.

At the end of the day PARENTS FORUM founder Eve Sullivan delivered eight very full shopping bags: seven bags of books and one of toys to Sue Burkhart in Waltham who serves at the contact person for the Children of Incarcerated Parents in Massachusetts.

PARENTS FORUM is very grateful to Fleet Bank Kendall Square Branch customers and staff and to Wainwright Bank employees, especially the Central Square Branch, for their generous financial support for this event. We also acknowledge assistance from Hildebrand Family Center for sharing some of their Christmas bounty with PARENTS FORUM. We are happy to pass it along.

PARENTS FORUM is a group of parents and others who come together to practice good communications skills in order to become more responsible in our families and more involved in our communities. With respect and honesty we work through the conflicts and strong feelings that can arise in family life.
