We are PARENTS FORUM: a group of parents and others who come together to practice good communication skills in order to be more responsible in our families and more involved in our communities. With respect and honesty, we work through the conflicts and strong feelings that arise in family and community life. Our life-tested approach to dealing with difficult issues (everything from a housemate leaving the kitchen a mess to a family member or friend suffering from an addiction) can help you improve your quality of life! Membership includes a copy of our easy-to-read program handbook, Where the Heart Listens that tells the story behind "one of the best workshops I ever attended" and "what is missing in many other parents programs." Your full membership --for an individual or household-- costs $35. Likewise, an additional gift membership, if you choose to offer one to a family member or friend or to a community member who could not otherwise afford one, is $35. Members receive occasional special 'members messages' as well as the regular PARENTS FORUM e-newsletter. Don't worry, we don't clog your mailbox! Our monthly or semi-monthly sendings are clearly marked and have stories about using the PARENTS FORUM approach in your day-to-day work and family life as well as brief notes about events of interest and links to other sites with information for parents and people who work with families. Enrollment forms must be sent by letter. Payment can be sent by check or money order in US$ with enrollment --OR-- by Western Union: let us know the money transfer control number (MCTN) in an email to membership@parentsforum.org and include this number on your enrollment forms.
