PARENTS FORUM has grown from ten years of parent group experiences. It draws on traditions of mutual help programs, behavioral models of therapeutic communities, and management training practices. We realize that many parents, from diverse backgrounds, have not learned effective ways to confront the conflicts and strong feelings that arise in family life.

Working with a set of original questions on family life issues, volunteer leaders help participants assess their parenting skills and the balance, or lack of it, in their lives. Participants share their successes and struggles, and develop relationships of trust. Through these friendships, parents improve their habits of communication and conflict resolution.

Parents and non-parents alike are welcome to participate in PARENTS FORUM for personal growth, learning, fellowship and service.
