PARENTS FORUM Book and Toy Exchange
Saturday, May 12, 2001
Despite competition from glorious spring weather, Saturday's PARENTS
FORUM Book & Toy exchange at the Salvation Army Day Care Center in Central Square was a success, with many bags of good reading material for children and parents donated to the Salvation Army Day Care Center. Rebekkah Barkowitz provided ASL interpreting service with the generous support of Dunkin' Donuts Corporation and prizes were donated by American Express Financial Services, TGI Fridays
Restaurant in Harvard Square, Reading Railroad and Discovery Toys.
Next on the PARENTS FORUM calendar is participation in DADS MAKE A
DIFFERENCE A Celebration of Fathering and Families, to be held
Sunday, June 17, from noon to 5:00 on the Boston Common. You can find out how to nominate a 'Super Dad' for recognition at this event
by calling 617 - 451-0049 x285. The deadline for 200-word nominations of Massachusetts fathers for this award is May 25th. If you would like to volunteer at the PARENTS FORUM booth that afternoon and be part of this free, fun community event, please call us. Contact: 617 - 864-3802 / info@parentsforum.org
